West Haven doctor wants more study on medical marijuana

WEST HAVEN >> Dr. Deepak Cyril D’Souza is a research scientist and has been troubled by how the state has approved qualifying conditions to the state’s medical marijuana program.

An original member of the state Department of Consumer Protection’s Board of Physicians, he has voted in favor of adding just one qualifying condition to the program. All other votes have been either 3-1 or 2-2, with D’Souza voting no.
