Three ways the medical marijuana industry is expected to change

There is some concern following the passage of Proposition 64 that the existing medical marijuana industry could slowly disappear in California since prescriptions will no longer be needed for those over 21 to buy marijuana.

“Right after Prop. 64, a number of patients, maybe half of what it used to be, a lot of people thinking they didn’t need a card, but more are realizing there is nowhere to buy it unless they renew their card,” said Dr. David Balter of The Central Coast Medical Recommendations in Arroyo Grande.
