Springfield councilors mull whether to impose tax on recreational pot sales

SPRINGFIELD — City officials won’t tax medical marijuana sold in the city, but the verdict is out on whether they will seek voter approval to impose a local tax on stores that sell recreational pot and how strictly they’ll regulate where those stores operate.
