South Carolina Lawmakers to Hear Medical Marijuana Testimony on Wednesday

COLUMBIA, SC — Lawmakers in a subcommittee of the South Carolina House will hear testimony Wednesday on a bill that could bring a more comprehensive medical marijuana program to the state.

Testimony on House Bill 4037, the South Carolina Medical Marijuana Program Act, will be heard by the Health and Environmental Affairs subcommittee of the House Medical, Military, Public and Municipal Affairs Committee.   The bill is sponsored by Reps. Jenny Horne (R-Dorchester) and John King (D-York).
