Peoria marijuana dispensary tied up by zoning dispute

A proposed medical marijuana dispensary in Peoria has hit a snag over zoning that has delayed its opening.

The (Peoria) Journal Star reports (http://bit.ly/1LZ3uKW) Trinity Compassionate Care Centers has an upcoming hearing before the Zoning Board of Appeals.

At issue is whether the dispensary’s zoning certificate is still valid. City officials say the business didn’t start operating in time and its certificate has expired.
