Officer, firefighter using medical pot fail drug tests

HONOLULU (AP) — Law enforcement officials can’t use medical marijuana, not even if they have a prescription.

Hawaii News Now reports (http://bit.ly/1mh0scx) a Honolulu firefighter and an officer were given one strike after they explained their failed drug tests by presenting medical marijuana cards.

They were told to stop using medical marijuana if they wanted to retain their employment. The officials also had to finish counseling to go back to work.
