Medical Marijuana May Ease Acute Migraines & Headaches – Study

Marijuana Smoking (1)Medical marijuana, or medical cannabis, may provide relief to people suffering from migraine or severe headache, suggests a new study conducted by researchers from the University of Colorado.

Scientists from the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus found in their study that when the marijuana was inhaled by volunteers it helped in treating acute migraines, and when they ate edible cannabis it was found to prevent headaches.
