Marijuana plants found at Beeton property exceeded licence limit: police

BEETON – Four people were arrested earlier this week after police seized 500 pot plants at a property near Beeton used to grow medical marijuana.

Nottawasaga OPP made the arrests after conducting a search Sept. 20 at a rural property located on the 8th Line of New Tecumseth.

Nottawasaga OPP Const. Harry Lawrenson said the plants that were seized during the raid exceeded the amount the property owner, who has a medical growing licence, was permitted to produce.
