California: Yucca Valley Voters Defeat Measure X; Uphold Marijuana Dispensary Ban

YUCCA VALLEY , CA —  Voters in Yucca Valley, California have defeated Measure X, which sought to allow exemptions to the town’s ban on medical marijuana dispensaries, in a special election held Tuesday.

According to unofficial election results posted by the San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters, Measure X was defeated 56.73% to 43.27%.  The final election results will be certified next week.

Measure X was aimed at allowing a limited number of exemptions to the town’s ban of medical marijuana dispensaries.
