Attorney General Rejects Recreational Marijuana Ballot Title

A request to get recreational marijuana on the ballot in Arkansas has been rejected a second time by Attorney General Leslie Rutledge.


The Arkansas Cannabis Amendment, resubmitted by Mary Berry, would allow the purchase, possession, and cultivation of both medical and recreational marijuana.


Rutledge says the reason for her rejection is ambiguities in the proposal’s text — the same reason she rejected a different version of the same title in April.
