DENVER, CO — Colorado’s licensed sales of marijuana totaled nearly one billion dollars in 2015, according to economic data provided by the state Department of Revenue.

Licensed retail stores sold $996,184,788 worth of cannabis in the past year, resulting in $135 million in new tax revenue.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Legal retail sales of marijuana to adults are anticipated to total $6.7 billion by year’s end, according to projections reported this week by ArcView Market Research.

JEFFERSON CITY, MO — Proposals to legalize the possession and sale of marijuana have been filed in both chambers of the Missouri legislature.

Senate Bill 762, sponsored by Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal (D-St. Louis), would allow adults 21 or older to purchase, possess and use up to one ounce of marijuana.  The bill does not contain a provision allowing home cultivation.
