Rhode Island estimate: $15M in tax revenue from MJ legalization

Gov. Gina Raimondo last week predicted Rhode Island could see between $10 million and $15 million in revenue in the first year if it were to legalize recreational marijuana.

It’s the latest indication from Raimondo that her administration is considering regulating and taxing adult-use cannabis and the first time an administration official has made a marijuana revenue forecast, the Providence Journal reported.
