Michigan: Two More Cities Vote to Legalize Marijuana
PORTAGE, MI — Voters in two Michigan cities on Tuesday approved local proposals to remove the criminal penalties associated with the possession, use, transfer and transportation of small amounts of marijuana. While marijuana possession remains a misdemeanor offense at the state level, the cities of Portage and Keego Harbor join the growing list of municipalities in the state that have passed similar marijuana reforms at the local level.
