Jim Kenney Wins Democratic Nomination for Philadelphia Mayor

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Last year, Philadelphia City Council member Jim Kenney successfully pushed through a bill to decriminalize marijuana in the nation’s fifth largest city.  Now, Kenny is poised to become the city’s next mayor after a landslide victory in the Democratic primary for mayor.

Kenny was the clear winner, receiving 56% of the vote.  His closet competitor only pulled in 26%.
