House fire, explosion in south Denver likely pot-related, officials say

A house exploded in south Denver Thursday night and officials said that the blast appeared to be marijuana-related, although the exact cause is unknown.

Denver Fire spokeswoman Melissa Taylor said that the fire, at 1365 S. Logan St., was under control. She said one person was in the house at the time of the blast and that person was in police custody and being questioned.

She said there was a strong odor of marijuana in the air when firefighters arrived.
